Hello Everyone,

We are Producing Polyester Polyols for Polyurethane System for Shoe sole and Synthetic Leather application. Polyester Polyols are produced by the reaction between Dicarboxylic Acid and Diols which is a Polycondensation reaction. Recent issue which We are facing is that there are some Brownish Suspended particles due to some unknown reasons. These are very fine particles which can pass through even 300 Mesh Filter.

My Question is that are these particles coming from some side reaction or these are just impurities coming from somewhere outside of the Process?

Please Reply if anyone had the same experience. I am attaching their picture. Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Muhammad Fahad Bin Tariq

There could be several reasons for that...try to replicate the problem in your lab set-up.

You could also post this problem in https://www.linkedin...groups/3288411/ . This group is called POLYURETHANES and it has 7500 members.
