Reaction Kinetics Data Modeling In Aspen Plus

While doing simulation on Claus Process I came across some reaction kinetics, which is little involved.

Kinetics data are from same person but different references.(given below)

 

I seek guidance about how can I define those in Aspen Plus.

 

The reference for Aspen Plus I am following define reaction kinetics LHHW as

Hi,

So can I ask why you are using Aspen Plus?  I assume you have a license for HYSYS too, as it is from the same company?  If you do, then HYSYS has an excellent Sulfur module plugged in.  Which has all the reactions built in.  So if you doing this to simulate an industrial plant, HYSYS ( or in fact PROMAX) is also good enough.

 

If you are doing this as an academic exercise to demonstrate reaction chemistry, then you should use a text book.  HYSYS help manual also has references you can look up to understand the Chemistry.  Please do not depend on simulator literature to do a deeper understanding.  I would suggest GPSA manual which has the reaction chemistry in graphs, and you can do a manual calculation.

This is an Academic Research Project.

I am open to using any simulator as long as it can solve above mentioned kinetics of Claus Desulfurization.

The reference I am following, they used CHEMCAD. Which I don't posses.

I am using Aspen Plus. As it has robust procedure to define reaction kinetics data. (Driving force)etc.

The HYSYS example file I found in the directory regarding Claus contains only empirical data not that useful for me (Catalyst amount) Residence time. 

 

Again appreciate your input.
