Hello,

I'm in t he process of sizing the PSV for a vessel immediately downstream from the inlet production separator and I am currently evaluating the gas blow by scenario. The production separator's LVC is a fisher D body valve. I cannot find a vapor Cv for this valve, and I also am not sure how to calculate this because both the Cv and Q (vapor flowrate) is unknown. Q = 962 * Cv * SQRT(SG* T / P1^2 - P2^2)

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You should contact Emerson. Some companies require sizing for the bypass valve open, too.

Hi,

You know the manufacturer, make, model and size. Please ask the vendor, he will help you out.

Hi,

At first you should ask relevant vendor to help, otherwise you can estimate the vapor flow rate by modelling the LCV as an specified orifice across which a differential pressure P1-P2 has been established once the vapor flow is passing through...
