Jet mill is a very common solid processing unit, and I would like to simulate it in Aspen Plus.

Is it possible to simulate it by the "Crusher" model in Aspen Plus?

In crusher types, there are options like "gyratory", "single roll", "multiple roll", "cage mill", "jaw", "cone", "impact mill", "hammer mill", "ball mill", and "rod mill".

Which would be the appropriate option for simulating jet mill?

Hi,

I don't know Aspen but jet mill performance is affected by the air pressure !

None of them are suitable .

My opinion only.

Diffuclt to simulate in any of the software packages i suspect but what is the purpose of simulating it?  Partical size distribution?  If you have enough real data an AI approach would be best.

Yes, and to see which parameter to control, just like what chemical plants do.

Okay, as you suggested, I will consider AI models, maybe a deep learning network, but it will be better to have a theoretical model for comparison.

Thanks, I found jet mill in the help document, use "impact mill". haha, I answer my own question.
