Hi,

I am currently designing a hydrodesulfurization unit for a natural gas feed. I have set up a spreadsheet (see attached), and am trying to relate the weight of the catalyst (increasing down the bed) with the rate of dissappearance of thiophene, and rate of production of butane.

on the spreadsheet:

X is the amount of thiophene being converted
Y is the amount of butane being produced
M is the starting moles of hydrogen (5:1 ratio to thiophene)
N is the starting moles of inerts (assuming hydrogen feed is 90% pure, thus 10% inert)

Please assist! I will give more information if required

Thanks!
