I have a system having 5 intermittent vents(PSV) and 3 continuous vents.Detail of which is as under

Vents Pressure Rating

PSV = 1 280 PSIG
PSV = 2 30 PSIG
PSV = 3 35 PSIG
PSV = 4 15 PSIG
PSV = 5 10 PSIG

Continuous Vents
Vent = 1,2,3 Atmosphere

These vents and PSV's are exist at the plant.My task is to connect all these ventS.Sizing of new header is to be finalised.Can all of u assisst me in doing same.Thans a lot.

Design the header with all continuous load and the largest intermittant load from a (1) scenario. The scenario generated the highest intermittant load should be consider one by one in detail.

Refer to API-521. It has some good guidance on how to establish a sizing basis for collection/flare headers. If you're connecting this to a flare, with other sources of flow, then you need to incorporate that into your study. The amount of backpressure at that tie-point will be variable, depending on the various emergency venting scenarios in this plant.

A tool like Flarenet will make this analysis and design a lot easier, faster, and more complete.
