Dear all,
I am using SS316 for Dm water services. shall i use valves and strainer in SS304. Will there be any problem if i use two different materials.
Please advise.

It depends on your application, if you are dealing with a hygienic plant then complete SS-316L should be used, no compromise on valves and strainers. But it is recommended to use SS-316 with DM water applications.

I would go ahead and use the 304 valves and not worry about it. You are trying to split hairs, in my opinion. You will never notice any difference in the water service.

The main difference in the composition of 316SS versus 304SS is that 316SS contains 2-3% molybdenum, giving it better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304SS, particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. I agree with Mr. Montemayor's comment that either material is suitable for your application.
