Dear All

i need to design an spherical tank for Propylene whih abovementioned data;

capacity=7400 m3
Design pressure=6-20 bar
Design Temprature = -40 c

especially i need to know more about its insulation design & installation methode.

any excellsheet,drawing,picture,text,.... will help me.

Is anybody help me here????????????

In addition to references already mentioned, following notes could be useful.
1. You need a sphere of diameter 24.2 m, which was locally considered uneconomical in 1990, so two spheres of half capacity (each) were decided. Look at http://www.cheresou...__1#entry39160 . Technical possibilities on this point may have been improved since 1990, but more investigation is deemed necessary. Design pressure (based on commercial propylene) was taken as 16 kgf/cm2 g, probably based on 42 oC max temperature (today 50 oC is often considered as max temperature in hot regions).
2. Fire fighting data can be found in http://www.cheresou...shore-facility . The design of spheres in 1990 considered no insulation. I think it is not necessary.
