Hi all,
I have recently started working on some relief sizing work. In collaboration with some of my colleagues I am endeavouring to create a standardised "how to" manual for sevaso/comah work.
To this end, I am working my way through a copy of the ICI Engineering Process SHE guide. I have come across a unit/quantity that I don’t understand.
In the most simple case, when calculating the required vent area (m2) it is necessary to use a property/quantity called "heat release rate per unit mass of liquid (W/kg)" Does anyone know what this is, or where I can find more information on this property?
All help is greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
I am not sure how to exactly answer your querry but the API RP 520 Sec 3, spl the sections 3.6 to 3.10 may prove useful to you!
