I am looking at modeling some work in HYSIS but have came across what I think is an anomaly (or maybe someone can explain it!?).
I am looking at temperature change in a tank when mixing two streams of the same material, one at 80°C and one at 120°C. The material is a cut from a Vacuum Distillation Unit - let's just call it tar.
While looking at the different physical properties, I have noticed that the specific mass heat capacity (kJ/kg°C) - according to Aspen - decreases with a rise in temperature. I would have thought this was impossible and that the mass heat capacity would increase in temperature.
Is this right or is there an issue here with HYSIS?
Thanks in advance.
