Hi,
I am a Process Engineer working on basic engineering of an Off-spec Condensate Storage Tank. The off-spec condensate has a maximum of 12 psia RVP and 150 ppm of H2S. There are no LP flares available in the Storage Tank area. We are proposing to add a degassing drum in another unit which is half way between the Stabiliser and the Storage tank location and has LP flare. The condensate is then pumped to the new storage tank.
Is there still a possibility of lighters being transferred to the storage tank from the degassing drum. We are proposing a internal floating roof tank as the condensate is stabilised the gas in the degassing vessel. Is there a possibility of still lighters and H2S entering the tank and if this is possible, is there a way to scrub the H2S from the tank vent stream before discharging to atmpsphere.
