Hi Everyone, hope you all had a good new years!

I am just posting here as I am having some issues finding information on the internet about a purging procedure.

I am trying to find how much nitrogen delivered at 3000kPa needs to be used to purge a vessel filled with LPG Vapour.

Lets say for arguments sake the vessel is 8000L water capacity. Is there a commonly used equation for purging LPG vapour from a system?

I have looked at George R Kinsley document but thats mostly for purging air from a tank using nitrogen. I want to purge LPG, so I was not sure if the same equations would apply. Its 100% Propane in the tank, and I am looking to get it down to only 5% of the LEL which is 2.1% for Propane, so as you can very very very low propane! Just so it doesnt ignite.

I am working on manual for my company and one of the section is purging procedures.

Any help would be great!

Thank you
