I have a final year project which is designing a distillation column (deethanizer). it is a theoretical design so it's not going to be applied in real life. By far i have calculated everything except the cost. i want to choose marshall and swift index (M&S) or CEPCI index to calculate the cost of the column, reboiler and condenser.

what equations should i use to calculate them and calculate the operating cost too.

if you can give me the equations directly i'll appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

BasYou,

If it´s not too later, you can review the book: Manual of Economic Analysis of Chemical Processes, by Institut Francais du Petrole (Chauvel, Leprince, et. al.), McGraw-Hill, Traslated from French, USA, 1981.

Napo.
