Organic liquids which tend to polymerize ( like Vinyl acetate monomer) and are highly volatile are generally stored in tanks with Nitrogen blanketing. The tank may be connected to scrubber for recovering vapors of such liquids.

Hi,

I would like to ask more question with related to N2 blanketing.

If chemical change,is it N2 requirement change?

What is the basic concept  & How to calculate Nitrogen blanketing quantity?

Is it related with chemical flammability?
