The tank inbreathing calculations found in API 2000 are not sufficient for uninsulated tanks with a normal operating temperature above 120F. For these conditions, API recommends an engineering review to determine the appropriate inbreathing rate. Are there any existing methods or guidelines for this type of analysis?
The only thing I found in my research was a presentation at the 2012 Spring Meeting & 8th global Congress on Process Safety entitled "Thermal Inbreathing Requirements of Low Pressure Storage Tanks at Elevated Temperatures." However, in looking at the table of contents for the conference proceedings, it doesn't appear the entire paper was included in the proceedings as it is only listed on one page.
Thanks in advance,
Brendan
