Members,
We are installing a new cooling tower with associated circulation pumps.
The installation will have 5 pumps, vertical type of capacity 2800 M3/hour each.
The common discharge header from cooling tower to consuming end is by under ground piping
Due to space limitation we would like to keep the discharge piping of each pump as short as possible and route it immediately to the underground common discharge header.
Is there any restriction / design criteria to be considered before the discharge from each pump is connected to common under ground header ??
Also on the discharge whether any special type check valve to be used for 32 inch dia discharge piping from each pump (or double plate spring loaded, non slam type can be used ??)
