Hello,

I am currently working on TEG Contactor to identify cause of TEG carry over and its contamination in to the downstream system. Downstream system is contaminated with TEG even though KO Drum and Filter separator installed in between TEG Contactor and downstream system. [TEG Contactor à KO Drum à Filter Separator à Downstream system]

Generally, mist eliminator in the TEG contactor is the primary cause of liquid carry over. On other hand KO Drum and Filter separator are already in place to capture those carry, but still downstream system experiencing contamination.

Any other phenomenon such as vaporization/evaporation, etc may cause potential contamination into the downstream system. Share your expertise

[Lean TEG temp. :40 degC & Wet Natural Gas temp.: 35 degC]

Thank you in advance!!

You should analyze the data you have to get a clue. There are enough "normal" problems that can cause carryover. It may be a combination of things, both mechanical and solution related. I would begin with the hypothesis that the glycol is foaming because of contamination. And, also consider mechanical damage to the demisters/separators/filters. Or something as simple as an obstructed drain from the final filter-separator. I'm sure if you look at the usual causes, you will find your answer. You should review past operation and identify when the problem first occurred. This always helps. Let us know what you find. If you find that your solution is dirty, there are service companies that will come to your site with their equipment and clean it.

Thank you Mr. Bobby. We will analyze the data and figure out the cause.
