Recently I have a work at new Laboratory Coal Boiler Project which use Carbohydrazide as Oxygen Scavenger agent. Usually, for Oxygen Scavenger we use Hydrazine and monitor the residual Hydrazine in BFW. And Now we use Carbohydrazide, what is the most suitable parameter that we have to control? Is it residual Carbohydrazide or Residual Hydrazine since Carbohydrazide will decompose into Hydrazine at High temperature(over 200 deg C)?

Thanks in advance

Dear :

Best way to monitor effectiveness of carbohydrazide ,is measuring th residual of in boiler water.

The residual depend on boiler pressure.

My question is how dilute carbohydrazide for injection to boiler?

plesse send us manual operation

I'm not sure how this is analysed in the laboratory, but we only have our feed water analysed for carbohydrazine (Naclo Elimin-ox). The manufacturer recommends a feed water target concentration of 500 - 1000 ppb

Okay, so its better to analysed the residual of the carbohydrazide, right?and i'll try to ask the vendor of the chemical about manual operation. Thanks

Okay. So the manufacturer say we have to control the residual carbohydrazide, right? I think we have to but the test kit because its a lil bit different with analysis of residual hydrazine. Thanks

Thanks. After read the description, I think its better to control residual carbohydrazide than residual hydrazine while using carbohydrazide as oxygen scavenger.
