Hi everyone
I am sizing a new test separator but there is a few problems like the location of the level gauges, level transmeters, pressure gauge and pressure transmeter.
The location of the oil and water outlets.
If any one can help me I will be very grateful.

Doesn't sound like you have the qualifications or experience for the task. You should prepare a duty spec and let experienced vendors design and supply the vessel.

Thank you very much for your valuable answer. But I expected something like references or equations not leave that because you are not qualified.

Hello,

Could you please explain what is test separator for? Recently I saw the interesting thread at student forum. It's named "Knock Out Drum Sizing". Try it.

Test separator is a three phase separator provided nearest to the oil wells. Test separators are provided to analyze or to test the crude quality, gas to HC ratio etc. etc.

A KOD is also a separator, but is generally provided for two phase separation i.e. liquid & gas e.g. Compressor KOD & Flare KOD.
