Hello friends ;

I'm using pipeflow expert to do hydraulic calculation and like to set the tank level at HHL(high high level).

I'm wondering please how to calculate the value of HHL .

The data for the tank are :

capacity = 1000 m3

height= 10 m

flow rate= 100 m3/hr

REGARDS

Tank levels are finalized on the following basis:

Tank Bottom - LLLL: Based on the NPSH requirement of the Pump or based on the suction nozzle size

LLLL - LLL: Time required for the operator to take corrective action. It is based on project philosophy

LLL - HLL: Working volume of the tank. Storage capacity required.

HLL - HHLL: Time required for the operator to take corrective action. It is based on project philosophy

HHLL - Top Curb Angle: Based on overflow nozzle size

Hope it solves your query.

Chemitofreak:

This is height differential , I'd like the height from tank bottom to HHL

When you add the height differential you will get height from tank bottom to HHLL.

Hope it answers your query.
