Dear All,

I am looking for some guidance on barrier fluid for pressurized dual mechanical seal with API piping Plan 53A / 53B for specific pumping service. I am aware of the general categories such as water, glycol-water mixtures, Diesel, Synthetic oils as barrier fluids. What I need is specific information of barrier fluid with respect to the pumped liquid based on installed and operating experience with respect to pressurized dual mechanical seals? If anybody can provide such information that would be great. Please note that the pumped liquids are clean liquids and do not contain any solid contaminants.

Pumped Liquids: Ethylene, Propane, De-ethanizer reflux, C2 splitter reflux

Regards,

Ankur.

Breizh,

Thank you for the attachment. But does not serve the purpose of identifying the barrier fluid for the pumped liquids mentioned in my post.

Regards,

Ankur

Hi ,

I'm familiar with water and water+glycol . The document attached was there to support and those big names like Flowserve, Burgmann,John Crane most probably can offer assistance.
