hello everyone!!

I am designing a vent scrubber system for TMA (30%)  storage tank, to prevent losses and avoid smell.

Tank cap: 50 KL

Pump filling rate: 21.8 m3/hr

Air out breathing rate : 21.8*2.02 = 44.036 m3/hr

Design temp= 40 deg cel.

At 40 deg cel total vap pressure = 1.2 kg/sq.cm = 882.68 mm Hg

Liq mole fraction of water = 0.88, TMA= 0.12

True vapour pressure of water at 40 deg cel = 55.30 mm Hg

Vap phase mole fraction of water = (0.88*55.3)/882.68 = 0.06, and TMA = 0.94

For gaseous system mole fraction = vol fraction

My question is for this heavy load how to design scrubber?? One option is to dissolve this vap in water and recycled back to storage tank. But heat of solution is -214 kcal/kg.

Please suggest suitable method/ guidelines for scrubber design.??
