I am trying to calculate vaporization rate of a chemical, I have the following:

unknown chemical (most properties known).

in pool with known surface area A.

at temperature T.

at pressure P.

with heat applied Q.

with air flowing over pool at known velocity and flow rate.

Trying to calculate the vaporization rate.

This is do-able with water due to published tables, but I can find little reference on performing this calculation with a chemistry other than water.  Can anyone point me in the correct direction to make this estimate?

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris ,

Let you get a copy of this book : Chemical process safety fundamentals with applications 3rd edition from Daniel A Crowl and Joseph F louvar .

pages 114-116

Hope this helps
