hello
we did a simulation by HYsis to know the flow rate of hot oil that we should process to ansure the out let of crude oil temperature
the heat exchanger (reboiller)type is shell and tube AET 1-2
after the simultaion we got that just 83% of shell side are full of hot oil
we got this comment on HYsis
(the fraction of the surface area for cooling the liquide phase is estimated to be 83/100 th e number of naturelly submerged tubes is estimaed to be 1275 thus only 100/100 of the surface is concidered submerged by the liquide phase )
please i want to know whats the impact in this case (83% of shell side are full of hot oil ) and what limit or percentage we can process with
process parameters are:
hot oil (shell side) T1= 600°F T2= 372°F
crude oil ( tube side ) t1= 340°F t2 460°F
thank you
