Hi all,

I am currently running a steam-methane reforming simulation on Aspen Plus. I have simulated a membrane using Aspen Custom Modeler in order to recover hydrogen for fuel cell applications. However, I am having an issue with H2O being so permeable that it is causing all the gasses to exit in the permeate stream and nothing in the retentate stream. I have attempted to simulate a polysulfone, cellulose acetate and polyimide membranes and all show the same issue. I have thought about either using a condenser or dryer but I was wondering if anybody had any better suggestions on how to overcome this.

Many Thanks,

Hazem
