Dear Engineers and Scientists,

 

How can I vary the tower pressure to reduce the tower height while keeping all other parameters fixed?

 

I tried using the Colburn equation to relate the absorption factor, A=L/(mV), with the tower height. By increasing the tower pressure, the liquid flow rate increases resulting in the increase in the absorption factor and tower height decreases from the equation of the tower height shown below. Is this right?
