Requesting to provide insights on what factors govern the selection of a particular type flowmeter.
In Air Separation Units we have ranges of flow meters from rotameter to orifice meters to crossed type pitot tubes, would like to know how designers conclude and justify the type of the flowmeter selected. Regards

Thanks the resource is quite useful, but it doesn't answer all my queries.

 

Sir my subject of interest is dP Flowmeters, can you share some insights what dictates selecting a particular flow meter falling under this class.

 

I have seen in my plant for air service we have square-edged orifice plates, venturi meters as well as Pitot tube.Need to understand.
