Hi all,

During an inspection in a stabilizer column recently, we found that the seal pan below the gutter in the reboiler compartment has been badly corroded with small holes. It was previously sealed with foulants as discovered during pre-cleaning inspection. However, after cleaning it revealed holes in the seal pan.

Does anyone know what would be the impact if we continue to run the column without repairing the seal pan?

The next available opportunity to fix this will be in a year's time.

Thank you!

Anyone would be remiss if they suggested you ignore the problem. We can't see what you see, and we are not mind readers. So, you have to make the decision based on your knowledge.
