Hi All

 

I simulate TEG contactor by HYSYS and use glycol package as fluid package.

The dew point estimate after spliter is 1 C and when used Peng Robinson equation I get -4 C.This value is high than actual Dew point -15 C.

The composition of dry gas and parameters is the same with Actual dehydration process.

 

Could you please help me to solve this issue?

 

Note: Co2=10%

calculated values can differ from measured values for many reasons,

unknown variables being the exact composition (for the software), errors in measurement etc. etc.

to that add the errors of thermo packages etc.

 

with a software you can limit the VLE errors (fugacity) with a proper selection of thermo models and parameters (BIPs data regression etc.),

I use a different software (Prode Properties) and my knowledge of the glycol package that you mentioned is limited,

according my experience errors in 1-3 C range are normal but probably in your case there is some other reason to justify that difference...

It essentially says that calculating for 70 mg/m3 of liquid, instead of the mathematical dew point, provides the best correlation with the chilled mirror method. Specially when you have a very small amount of a heavy components, the mathematical method tends to predict a higher dew point than what you measure.
