Hi All

This debate about wet gas temperature in TEG contactor.

There are any effect  be caused by variation of temperature?and how can make temperature stable.

Nice to read your opinion

Thank  you

There is no debate that is going to occur regarding the feed gas temperature into a TEG contactor.

You should simply make the feed gas as cool as you can, making sure it is devoid of any entrainment of water, oil, or other particles as it enters the contactor.  As you should ALWAYS DO, ensure that your feed stream is as clean as you can get it and keep the same clean principle in all your unit operations.

The hotter the feed stream, the more water content the feed gas will have and the higher the probability that your product gas will be wetter or out of specification at the contactor overhead outlet.  That should be obvious to anyone.  As in ALL unit operations, there should be no unplanned variance in the feed gas conditions.  That is a process upset and should be resolved before continuing with the process.  Your basic process design should always take any feed gas variations into consideration and the feed gas temperature can be stabilized accordingly with the appropriate design.

What makes you think that your feed gas temperature will vary without your ability to control it?   Are you unaware that as a process design engineer you should take this into consideration and design the process accordingly?   What is the reason that you are considering that the feed temperature will vary?  Please explain in detail if you are looking for our members' help and advice.

There is no TIC for feed temperature.Wet Gas cross cooler with fixed speed.I ask in order to suggest MOC

There is TIC to control the wet feed gas entering to the TEG contactor. Maintain wet feed gas temperature so that TEG temperature should not fall below 18 Deg C since below this temperature TEG become more viscous and difficult to regenarte. Also care should be take to the coolant, since it is mostly Gas/Gas exchanger, the cool gas temperature should not fall below the hydrate formation temperature. Since you didn't mention the system pressure we can not assume the optimum temperature, however in my system where TEG contactor pressure is 65 Barg, wet gas feed temperatire maintain at 20 ~ 21 Deg C. This will ensure the least amount of water entrained with feed gas as mentioned by Mr. Art, above hydrate formation temperature of the cooler outlet point and so on. Maintain a temperature difference of wet feed gas and TEG to avoid any hydrocarbon condensation unless otherwise will create a foaming problem.
