Dear all,

I am doing Heat loss calculation for storage tank. I have gone through various website to find over all Heat transfer Co-efficient of Storage tank. I found two websites….

 

First one

in the above heat transfer tare is given based on tank storage temperature

 

Another one

in the above heat transfer rate is given based on ΔT of Oil and Air

 

Which of the above is corret? Have anyone used this value to calculate the tank heat loss…

 

I also got another method where based on the link below but in that I don't know how to get the radiative heat transfer co-efficient…

Article shows perry as reference but could not find…Can anyone help to find the below formula reference…

hR = 0.1713*eps* (((Tws+460)/100)^4 -((Ta+460)/100)^4))/(Tws-TA)
