Dear All,

In one of the project we need 119 T/hr LP Steam ( 3.5 barg) for our CO2 capture process. Client is currently using this steam to supply district heating to consumers. Therefore we have following options

1) Install one/multiple gas fired boilers to generate 119 T/hr LP Steam & dont take any steam from client

2) Install one/multiple electric fired boilers to generate 119 T/hr LP Steam & dont take any steam from client

3) Take LP steam from client and install heat pump ( in our process , we need cooling, so this heat pump shall take heat from our process and supply to district heating) to makeup for loss in district heating due to LP steam being utilized by us.

I would like to understand pros and cons with respect to Capital cost, operating cost, maintenance, etc. for the above three options.

This project is for European Country where Electrical prices are low and gas is also easily available.
