Can any body explain difference b/w Antifoam and Defomaer in aMDEA used for CO2 removal in ammonia plant.

As normally Defoamer is used that kills the foaming, but we calls it Antifoam, Why we use word antifoam instead of defomaer and can any body give example of usage of Antifoam (Prevents foaming)??
