Hi All,

Can any one have Cold box perilte filling procedure,please share with me.

The perlite procedure can either be manual or by using machine arrangements.

 

For smaller cold boxes like N2 generators or small scale ASUs, generally finished perlite products are sent to site in large jumbo bags.At site via the chain pulley arrangements, perlite transferred in small bags are mounted at different levels of Cold Boxes, where they are poured by people, after certain level of filling,generally, sticks or metal rods are used to even the surface of Perlite to prevent uneven distribution,slight tapping using the same metal rods on outside of the Cold box shell can also be applied.

 

For bigger cold boxes, generally, perlite ores arrives, they are heated and expanded and transformed into expanded Perlite powder, and via hopper arrangement is fed into different elevations of Cold Box.Intermittent levelling and tapping are relevant in this procedure too.
