Hi everybody;

We will start to build a chromate coating process line in our firm. ın the process, we will coat some big sized aluminum profiles .when I investigate the process, there should be 5 baths. These are:

1) cleaning of grease and deoxidation (Using sulfıric acid and floride in the water)

2)washing (with water)

3) washing (with water)

4) chromate coating

5) washing (with water)

My question, what are the additional baths ? I have heard Nitric Acid Bath. Is this necessary step of the process?

In addition, because of the shape and big sized of aluminum profiles (it is nearly 1,6 tones)  which will be coated in the process, there will be seen uncoated parts inside them after coating process. How can we overcome this situation? What can we configure to the lifting system? Could vibration or making bubbles in the baths help us?

I have other questions to discuss but those are first ones.

thanks for your answers and helps in advance.
