Hi,

I will perform column chromatography for separation of monomer from its stabiliser. I will collect liquid coming from column into 5-6 glass tubes. Some tubes will have pure monomer+solvent, some of them monomer+stabiliser+solvent. Since all the samples will be colourless, how can i know which samples are pure monomer+solvent and which samples still contain stabiliser ?

I prefer easy, quick and cheap solution.

Since this is a home experiment, i don't want to spend money for equipments and expensive lab tools. E.g. TLC plates are expensive.

Can ultraviolet light can help visualisation ?

Thanks.
