Dear,
I hope you are fine.
I have questions regarding storage tanks design.
Before I start asking, I will mention the conditions of the storage tanks :
A)P(op) 0.3 barg
B)P (des) 0.7 barg
C)All stored liquids are none flammable (combustible)
D)All storage tanks in my area are blanketed with nitrogen due to sensitivity of reaction of air and humidity.
1-is API 620 is the right code (I chose this code)!?

2- How can we choice the roof and bottom type?!( fixed roof cone +flat bottom)

3-is nitrogen blanketing impact storage tank design !(dome roof or cone)

Thanks a lot
Abdullah

Abdullah,

1) Yes,...

2) Depends on the tank diameter, stored liquid VP; but considering high OP and DP appears dome roof type is a better choice

3) No,...

Dear fallah
Diameter of our tanks is not exceeding 7meters
Kindly ,can you clearly mention the reason of having dome not cone!?

By the way ,I chose the bottom as. Flat with slop

Engineer who did the previous phase , they used dome for top and bottom

Thanks alot

Dear fallah
I forget to tell you regarding the vapor pressure
It is very low (DPG-polyether)

Abdullah,

Due to relative high OP and also having self supported roof, dome type is more interested; but having not so high diameter cone roof also feasible...
