Dear All,

I am studying a 750 km pipeline in order to detect if there is any surge pressure caused by a sudden valve closure. For that reason Joukowski equation should be applied. And to verify my results i used OLGA Software to determine the upstream pressure of the valve. Unfortunally the results are not the same.
So my question is there any advanced equation for manual surge calculation ?
