Dear,

I am working on a chemical project where we need to dry feedstock to lower water content (100 ppm or less) due to the sensitivity of reactor of water.

We have 3 feedstocks (Tank volume: 18 m3, 100 m3 and 100 m3) the current design is to dry it with hot nitrogen (too much flow of nitrogen is required).

I talked with some vendors regarding the molecular sieve. However, vendor replied it is not going to work due to high viscosity (300 cp).

Questions:

1-      Will hot nitrogen work for this?

2-      Can I use Air Psychometrics chart to estimate the required N2?

3-      If I am going to use hot nitrogen, should I change my tanks to vessel to ease the mass transfer or I keep Cone tank?

4-      Is there an efficient and economical way to dry these feedstocks?

Abdullah

Thanks

I think the lack of response is due to the lack of details.
