about safety valve devices,

what is better for venting a atmospheric storage tank contains liquid  phase of volatile material ?
Is the Conventional safety valve (PSV) or pilot operated safety valve?

-Can tolerate maximum operating pressure close to valve set pressure

-Lower blowdown

-Lower required overpressure to be full open

-Faster response and better sensing

If you have an atmospheric tank, then putting a pressure operated vent on, venting to atmosphere seems counter to your equipment.

It is 1.3 bara .

Then the psv makes sense. I agree with the other comments from Fallah but want to add the following:

 

1. Pilot operated valves have sensing ports that are sensitive to the media. Be sure that your media will not interfere with the sensing function.
2. Be sure to consider the vacuum capability of the tank and the vent operating band in a vacuum to properly protect the tank.

Apart from the above discussion, you can consider the flame arrester with the venting device, if there is any flammable materials in the tank.
