I am having a problem comprehending HYSYS simulation results. Its a basic PIPESYS case involving three pipe segments of various lengths & at different elevations (sketch is included). The outcome of three scenarios where only pipe DIA are changed is collectively shown in the graph.
What I fail to understand are results produced by the last scenario (3in Sch.40). The velocity profile & the pressure profile are but bizarre, when compared with first two scenarios? The stream in question is total Gas.
I am attaching the case file as well if someone want to reproduce results https://www.mediafir...w3hm32/uk_2.hsc
My second question is if a pipe dia is increased wont there be greater cooling (heat loss) for the full length of pipe profile, but HYSYS simulation result is odd here too?
starting temperature for both were 45C, above are the final results.
