I am trying to rate an existing heat exchanger with turbulators inside the tubes using Bell Delaware Method . How I can calculate the tubes area that has turbulators inside because in this case the velocity will increase .
Also, the flow rates of that existing heat exchanger is very low ( shell & tube ) . Consequently, the velocity is very low as well that why turbulators are inserted inside tube . Is there a way to design different exchanger that will eliminate using turbulators ! . The current design is AEL heat exchanger !
The fluids of shell and tube are ethylene glycol solution !
