Dear Sirs,

Could you give me an advice if there is any engineering practice, DEP, or other rule of thumb which shall be taken into account for determination of simultaneous relief (ie general power failure) for a few plants connected to the same flare?  In other words, what is the procedure of determining total flare relief stream for a few plants connected to the same flare with particular relief scenario possible?

I heard about taking into account only the highest possible relief ; 75% of the sum of all relief streams or the higher relief and half of the sum of others but Im looking for a document where it is stated

I will apreciate any help

Kind regards,

You analyze every relief valve in every plant. There is no shortcut.
