Hi, 

 

I want to calculate a flowrate for Nitrogen purging for an LPG storage tank. The tank is about 80,000 water gallons capacity.

 

What is the general basis for calculating a flowrate for nitrogen? 

 

During purging nitrogen will be swept through the vessel. Is the purging to reduce oxygen concentration? Is there a guideline I can use to work out a flow rate?
