Can I produce SO2 gas from H2S gas without creating sulphur ?

I know 2 H2S + 3 O2 --> 2 SO2 + 2 H2O

but it is also true that 2 H2S + SO2 → 3 S + 2H2

So, how to burn H2S in a way that sulphur is not created.

I will truly be thankful if someone can reply.

If the combustion happens with massive excess oxygen, and is diluted with another gas (say, nitrogen from air), then the sulfur formation reaction isn't favored.

The Complete Combustion of H2S is Highly Exothermic. U can Go for a Substochiometric Combustion just as in Claus Process to Produce So2 From H2s
