Hi,

I have caustic soda solution of 48% (w/w) at SG of 1.5 and need to come up with dilution calculation to a concentration of 31% at SG of 1.33  the vessel is 9000L. What amount of water and NaOH need to be charged? when the sample is low or high in concentration, how much of NaOH (48%) or water need to be charged?

Hi ,

Study the material attached.

If you are a chemical engineer student you should be able to perform a mass balance , right?

Good luck
