I have to do Steady state simulation of CCR plant in Refinery in ASPEN  HYSYS . I have product stream compo, temp , flow and pressure for Reformate Splitter -HR, MR and LR i.e light reformate, heavy reformate and middle cut reformate. I want to back blend it to get CCR reactor outlet stream composition.

Can you help me with how to backblend it in hysys?

Regards,

chetan

Hi I'm an upstream process engineer so please excuse any ignorance here wrt your reformate splitter - but it sounds like you wish to recycle the product to the inlet?

I use UniSim Design at my company but understand HYSYS is very similar. UniSim has a "recycle operation" which will loop through the iteration calculations for you - I'm sure there will be a similar operation in Hysys?

Simply characterize all the product streams separately - then mix the streams.  You can choose to mix the three "assays" into a single blend in the Oil Manager (I haven't use the new Petroleum Assay tool much yet).
