Hi,

I have deethanizer column in hysys steady state. I want to bypass this column and send the flow directly to product lines. I have put Tee there and sent very small fraction only to deethanizer and rest to product and but column is not converging with flow of 6 kg/hr. what to do about this. Shall I keep this column unconverged ?

what specifications do you have for the de-eth? It sounds like Hysys cannot reach a soluton with the specifications you have provided e.g. you are asking for a top or bottoms product flow or a reflux flow which exceeds the physical column feed. I'd investigate and modify your specs. Is 6 kg/hr actually representative of what would happen in reality - sounds like an extremely small flow.

Unless you want to analyze the effect of different bypass rates, seems that is easier to save the simulation under a new name and remove the column.
