Hello,

I'm running a simulation on Decomposition and Gasification of Biomass using Aspen Plus.

1. Since biomass is presented as a Non-conventional component, i tried to calculate the yield for the RYield            reactor using ultimate analysis results. But after running the simulation, the feedback keep saying that C, H,        N,O are not in atom balance. Have anyone experienced this before? And any suggestion?

2. Also have anyone used the calculator block before? Please guide me on how to use it.

3. Can i use the RStoic reactor for the decomposition process? Note i don't have the Biomass Stoichiometry.

4. I found out my Aspen plus V.10 don't have the NREL IN-HOUSE database which has Biomass built in it. How      can i add this database to my ASPEN PLUS?

5. Please i will appreciate any book or technical paper for my reference.

Thanks

Look for this Aspen Publications

"Getting Started Modeling Processes with Solids" It is about coal and polymer but it explain many of your questions (like using the calculator).
