Hi,

Is there a standard way or best practice for detecting a rupture / large leak in a pipeline? In the attached pdf, I'd like to automatically detect if there is a rupture / large leak in the pipeline between points 1 and 2.

Thanks,

John

Hi ,

What is the background ? Why do you need to detect the leak ? Does it have to do with hazardous material ? Is it related to the equipment?

More information , better answer.

No background. Just was wondering if there is a best practice for detecting a rupture between two points in a pipeline.

Hi

Fixed area monitoring detectors like LEL/Toxicity detector could help in event of pipeline leak it will give alarm to control room
